How It Works
- Connect — Paste your API key from CategoriX. Your WooCommerce categories sync automatically.
- Bulk categorise — Start a bulk categorisation run from the dashboard. Products are processed in the background using WooCommerce’s Action Scheduler, so your site stays responsive.
- Review — High-confidence matches can be applied automatically. Anything uncertain goes into the Review Queue for your approval.
- Keep it tidy — Optionally auto-categorise new products as they’re created, so your catalogue stays organised over time.

Installation
- Download CategoriX from WordPress.org or search for “CategoriX” under Plugins > Add New in your WordPress admin.
- Activate the plugin.
- Create a CategoriX account if you don’t have one already.
- Go to CategoriX > Settings and paste your API key.
- Click Save & Connect — your categories will sync automatically.
- Head to CategoriX > Dashboard and start categorising.

Do I need a CategoriX account?

Yes. The AI categorisation is powered by the CategoriX cloud service. Create a free account to get your API key and start categorising.

Will it overwrite my existing categories?

No. By default, CategoriX only processes products sitting in “Uncategorized”. The Safety Lock feature protects anything you’ve manually categorised. You can also choose to re-categorise all products if needed.

How accurate is the AI?

CategoriX is built for ~99% accuracy. The AI understands product context — not just keywords — by analysing titles, descriptions, brands, and attributes. Any result that isn’t high-confidence is sent to the Review Queue for your approval, so you always have the final say.

Does it work with large catalogues?

Absolutely. CategoriX processes up to 500 products per minute in the background using WooCommerce’s Action Scheduler. Your site stays fully responsive, and it can comfortably handle catalogues with millions of products.

What data is sent to the API?

Product name, description, brand (if available), current category, and product attributes are sent to the CategoriX API for classification. No customer data, order data, or payment information is ever transmitted.
