MoxKit Addons for Elementor

Description

MoxKit Addons for Elementor includes:

  • Navigation Menu with a WordPress menu selector, horizontal/vertical layouts, alignment, library icons, pointers, hover effects, and responsive hamburger navigation.
  • Custom navigation breakpoints in px, em, rem, %, vw, and vh. Tablet/Mobile follow Elementor site settings. Custom compares available widget width; % and vw refer to viewport width, vh to viewport height, em to widget font size, and rem to root font size.
  • Text Marquee, Image Marquee, Process Showcase, Statistics, Chart, Progress Steps, and Advanced Image.
  • Chart with vertical or horizontal bars, lines, areas, and donuts; value prefix/suffix and placement, wrapping labels, and a styleable donut center.
  • Advanced Rating with stars, hearts, circles, or any library icon on a 1–10 scale, exact or rounded fill, score formats, review count, and entrance animations.
  • Custom Heading built word by word: a font, color, gradient, image text mask, or outline for each word, images inside the text, markers, and part, word, letter, or typewriter animations with looping effects.
  • Button with icons, links, hover states, and effects.
  • Video with YouTube, Vimeo, self-hosted media, optional click-to-load privacy, captions, and player controls.
  • Icon with default, stacked, or framed styles, layered filled pulses, outline ring pulses, glow, and hover or looping animations.
  • Icon Box, Call to Action, Testimonial, and Pricing Table.
  • Accordion / FAQ with smooth open/close animations and Normal, Hover, and Open title box styles.
  • Vertical Accordion with expanding desktop panels, vertical titles, and real editable Elementor Containers. Automatically stacks on mobile with horizontal headers, natural content height, configurable initial state, and keyboard navigation.
  • Team Member with photo, role, bio, and social links.
  • Flip Box with a two-sided card: 3D flip or a liquid morph (ripple, melt, or wave distortion), triggered by hover/focus or by click/tap/keyboard.
  • Progress Bar with Basic, Label & status, Compact with metadata, and Circular layouts; status colors and optional scroll animation.
  • Process Showcase with icon, number, or icon + number badge markers, an optional button per step, and animated connectors (light beam, flowing dashes, travelling dot, or draw on scroll).
  • Pie Chart that animates into view.
  • Counter with ten number animations (count up with easing, odometer, slot machine, scramble, typewriter, wave, flip, drop, blur focus, or none), an icon on the left, right, top, or bottom, and a styleable content box for the number, title, and description.
  • Countdown timer to a date with an expiry message.
  • Post Categories: categories, tags, or any public taxonomy as a list (optionally nested), pills, cards, or count tiles, with one icon for all or an icon, color, and name per term, post counts, and the current category highlighted.
  • Popular Posts: most viewed, most commented, latest, recently updated, or random posts as a numbered list, text ranking, cards, image overlays, or a featured post with the rest beside or below it; stacked, side by side, or in a swipeable row. Rank numbers come as large, outlined, gradient, badge, ribbon, or watermark numbers, colored with one color, gold/silver/bronze, a blend from first to last, or a palette.

Liquid Glass (Extensions): turn any Container into glass under Style > Liquid Glass. The backdrop behind it is refracted through an SVG lens with edge shine (Chrome and Edge) or frosted (Safari and Firefox). Nine presets act as a quick mode and every value can be customized. The script loads only on pages that use it.

Custom Cursor (Extensions): change the cursor over a Container under Advanced > Custom Cursor. Pick a browser cursor, or a dot, trailing ring, ring, blend circle, spotlight glow, text bubble, or image that follows the pointer, with trailing, link-hover, and click effects. Touch screens are unaffected, and the script loads only on pages that use it.

MoxKit Waves (Extensions): seamless animated wave dividers for Containers and Sections under Style > MoxKit Waves. Six styles (ocean, layered, gentle curve, liquid blob, small ripples, big tide), up to three layers with their own colors and opacity, and flowing, rising-and-falling, or liquid motion. The waves are drawn so they repeat exactly, pause off screen, and stay behind the content unless you bring them to the front.

Animated Shape Divider (Extensions): bring Elementor’s own Shape Divider to life on Containers and Sections under Style > Shape Divider Animation: an endless sideways flow, tide, breathe, or sway, with an optional see-through second layer for depth.

Post View Counter (Extensions, off until you switch it on): counts how often each post is opened, for Popular Posts ranked by “Most viewed”. It stores one number per post and nothing about visitors; people who can edit the post, previews, link prefetches, and bots are not counted. Pages served from a full-page cache never reach WordPress, so they are not counted either; in that case use a caching-aware view counter plugin and enter its custom field in the widget.

Every widget includes Content and Style controls, responsive settings, typography, colors, and box styling. Elementor’s Advanced controls remain available. Elementor 3.25.0 or newer is required; Elementor Pro is not required.

Create reusable templates under MoxKit and assign a header and footer to the MoxKit Full Width page layout. Templates can contain any Elementor widgets. Optional automatic assignment covers standard WordPress pages; custom templates, Elementor Canvas, posts, archives, and WooCommerce special pages are excluded. This is a page layout builder, not a full archive/single-post theme builder.

The Navigation Menu supports a responsive dropdown or full-screen off-canvas panel that slides from the left or right. Full-screen panels include a close button and Escape support. Click parent menu text to toggle its submenu; branches stay open until toggled closed. Leaf links navigate normally. The main mobile dropdown retains its shadow; submenus have no default shadow. Default item gap is zero and styling controls remain available.

MoxKit sends no telemetry and includes no remote font or icon CDN of its own. Elementor may load its configured assets independently.

FAQ

Does this require Elementor Pro?

No. All MoxKit widgets and template assignment work with Elementor Free. Elementor Pro features such as its dynamic tags still require their own licenses.

Will this replace the header on every theme screen?

Only pages using MoxKit Full Width are replaced. Automatic assignment can apply that layout to standard pages. Posts, archives, search, 404 pages, WooCommerce special pages, and custom page layouts continue using the theme.

What happens when no header/footer is selected?

Automatic mode selects the newest eligible published template whose display rule matches. Choose the explicit fallback option to use a simple site-name header and copyright footer instead. If no eligible template exists, the fallback is used. MoxKit Full Width owns the page shell and does not call the theme’s header.php/footer.php.

How do I build headers and footers?

Open MoxKit > Header Footer and design your templates with Elementor containers and widgets. Use the Header & Footer Settings section on the same page to assign published templates to the MoxKit Full Width layout.

Are video providers contacted automatically?

With click-to-load enabled, the player stays inside an inert HTML template until the visitor clicks Play. YouTube or Vimeo receives a request when playback is requested. With click-to-load disabled, the player may contact the provider as the page loads. A configured remote cover image loads normally; upload your own image to keep it local.

Is my content deleted on uninstall?

No. Templates, Elementor page data, and MoxKit settings are retained. Remove templates from the dashboard first if you no longer need them. Change page layouts before uninstalling if you want to switch back to the theme.

How does Popular Posts know which posts are popular?

Choose Rank by: Most viewed (from the MoxKit Post View Counter under MoxKit > Extensions, or from another view counter plugin’s custom field), Most commented, Latest, Recently updated, or Random. Posts without any views yet are ranked by comments and then by date, so the widget is never empty while the counter warms up.

Changelog

1.2.0

  • New: Vertical Accordion with editable nested Containers: expanding desktop panels that work like tabs (or a stacked layout), responsive mobile headers on the Elementor breakpoints, per-device spacing, single or multiple open panels, library icons per title and for the open/closed indicators, title-number typography, keyboard controls, and reduced-motion support.
  • New: Post Categories widget: categories, tags, or any public taxonomy as a list (optionally nested), pills, cards, or count tiles; one icon for all or an icon, color, and name per term; post counts in three formats; a palette or one accent color; the current category highlighted; lift, slide, fill, or glow hover.
  • New: Popular Posts widget: rank by views, comments, date, last update, or random, filtered by category or tag and by publish date; numbered list, ranking, cards, image overlay, or featured layouts, stacked, side by side, or in a swipeable row with previous/next buttons; rank numbers in seven looks and four color schemes (one color, medals, a first-to-last blend, or a palette); date, views, comments, author, category, and reading time.
  • New: Post View Counter extension (off by default) that counts post views for Popular Posts; editors, previews, prefetches, and bots are not counted. Other view counter plugins can be used through their custom field.
  • Fixed: In the editor, a new Custom Heading text-mask image (or gradient, size, or font) did not show on animated words until the page was reloaded, and the text could stay empty while the image was loading.
  • Fixed: In the editor, Process Showcase connectors between rows did not follow changes to their thickness, gap, or speed until the page was reloaded.
  • New: Custom Heading rebuilt: the heading is made of parts, each with its own font, color, gradient, image text mask (background image showing through the letters), or outline, a highlighter or underline marker with its own color, height, position, corner radius, and width, and its own animation. Images can sit between words. The whole heading animates as one block or by part, word, letter, or typewriter, with 11 effects, triggers on scroll, every time it scrolls into view, on page load, or on hover, and looping float, pulse, wiggle, wave, flowing fill, shine, or spin. The eyebrow and description are gone (use separate widgets); headings already on your pages keep working unchanged.
  • New: MoxKit Waves extension for Containers and Sections (Style > MoxKit Waves): seamless animated wave dividers in six styles with up to three layers, per-layer colors and opacity, flow, flow with rise and fall, or liquid motion, top, bottom, or both. Enable or disable it under MoxKit > Extensions.
  • Changed: Each widget now loads only its own stylesheet plus a small shared one (3 KB) instead of one 86 KB file for all widgets.
  • Changed: Fewer database queries on every page: MoxKit settings load together with WordPress’s own settings, and the header/footer lookup reads only templates of the needed type.
  • Changed: Animated Shape Dividers pause while they are off screen.
  • New: Animated Shape Divider extension for Containers and Sections (Style > Shape Divider Animation): a seamless flow (the shape is rebuilt so its ends meet), tide, breathe, or sway per side, with direction, speed, strength, a second layer for depth, and pause on hover. Enable or disable it under MoxKit > Extensions.
  • New: Advanced Rating can use any icon from the Elementor Icon Library, with an optional separate icon for unfilled ratings (for example a solid and an outline star).
  • New: Chart vertical bars can show the label and value beside each bar, on the right or left: across at the bottom of the bar (label above value, like a vertical progress bar), next to its top, or up along the bar. A track color draws a full-height rail behind each bar, and bars can be as thin as 2% of their slot.
  • Fixed: Custom Cursor in the Elementor editor only followed the pointer over widget content, not across the whole Container.
  • New: Advanced Rating widget: stars, rounded stars, hearts, circles, or any library icon on a 1–10 scale; exact, half, or whole-icon fill; scores as 4.6, 4.6/5, 4.6 out of 5, or 92%; title and review count; three layouts; fill, pop, and rise entrance animations; icon hover effects.
  • New: Custom Cursor extension for Containers (Advanced > Custom Cursor): 18 browser cursors, or a dot, trailing ring, ring, blend circle, spotlight glow, text bubble, or image that follows the pointer, with trailing, link-hover, and click effects. Enable or disable it under MoxKit > Extensions.
  • New: Chart horizontal bars with the label left, right, or above the bar and the value at the bar end, inside the bar, on the opposite side, or next to the label; track color, row spacing, and label column width.
  • New: Chart value prefix and suffix; value position above the bar or point, inside the bar, above or below the label, or left or right of the label; long labels wrap or are cut off with side spacing; Donut Center shows the total or custom text with a caption and its own typography, colors, and background.
  • New: Accordion open/close animations (slide, slide + fade, zoom, rise, drop, blur, 3D unfold) with duration and easing.
  • New: Accordion Title box with Normal, Hover, and Open tabs for title color, background, border color, and shadow.
  • New: Process Showcase badge border type and an adjustable outer ring.
  • Changed: Chart values and labels are HTML text, so they keep their real font size and the Site Settings global fonts at any chart width.
  • Fixed: Image Marquee and Text Marquee links did not respond on the repeated copy that keeps the loop seamless.
  • Fixed: Chart labels overlapped, and value and label sizes shrank or grew with the chart width.
  • Fixed: Icon colors, including the Secondary color on hover, were replaced by the Site Settings link colors when the icon had a link.
  • Fixed: Process Showcase badge border stayed invisible until a border color was set.
  • Fixed: Navigation Menu was hidden on the live page whenever a pointer effect was selected.

  • New: Accordion icons from the icon library (closed and open), animated plus/minus and chevron indicators, eleven hover animations, and a full Icon style section.
  • New: Advanced Image now mirrors Elementor’s Image widget (image resolution with srcset, attachment captions, media file link with lightbox, width, max width, height, object fit and position, opacity and CSS filters for normal and hover), plus Ink bleed and Liquify scroll reveals, Spin 360 loops, and a reveal duration.
  • New: Missing style controls added to Countdown (finished message), Steps, Statistics, Team, Video, Pie Chart, and Pricing.

  • Security: Editor previews escape repeater titles and chart colors and only allow safe link schemes.
