Once you’ve completed your compatibility check, this plugin will create a secure copy of your website and begin the transfer to your Bluehost hosting account.

Important: You will need a Bluehost hosting account for this plugin to complete the migration. It is not intended for migrations to other hosting providers.

Installation

  1. Install the plugin by clicking Add New on the Plugins screen in your WordPress admin, then searching for “Bluehost Site Migrator”.
  2. Activate the plugin.
  3. Click on the “Site Migrator” link on the left-hand menu in the WordPress admin to get started!

stuck at Packaging uploads

My website is Wordpress basic website with blog and very few uploads. I checked Migration Plugin upload directory where all ZIP packages are: for DB, for Pluggins and for UPLOADS. All of them were closed 1 hour ago but plugin progress is still stuck at the last task and it wont finish. How long should I wait?? It says : Packaging Uploads...

Doesn’t work

Thanks for the buggy ride. I tried it on three sites and I can't get it to work on any of them. So much for an easy way to move a site to Bluehost. I love their hosting. This plug in - not so much. Don't waste your time and effort.

This is simply terrible. Tried this plugin with a simple website, with a couple of plain html pages and it simply doesn't work. The biggest surprise to me is how come Bluehost is listed on the recommended hosting services for wordpress. This comment is not only about the plugin. Many small details while dealing with the admin settings on Bluehost page are also non-intuitive or frustrating by the lack of options. This plugin is just a small example of the experience the user will have with Bluehost... Stay away from Bluehost!
