Description

Switching to a newer browser is better in terms of security and reliability. This plugin informs your visitors to switch to a newer browser in an unobtrusive way. Just activate this plugin and you and your visitors are good to go…

Installation

Manually

Unzip wp-browser-update.zip and upload the unzipped folder to /wp-content/plugins/ directory of your WordPress installation.

Via Plugin Backend

Upload wp-browser-update.zip from your plugin panel (/wp-admin/plugin-install.php?tab=upload).

Via Plugin Search

Search for “wp browserupdate” and install the displayed result from your plugin panel (/wp-admin/plugin-install.php).

Activation

Don’t forget to activate WP BrowserUpdate afterwards. 😉

Crystal clear, low impact plugin that deflects a lot of support issues. All sites should uses this plugin and the browser-update.org service.

Doesn’t work for IE11 which is the main reason I tried this plugin. Also doesn’t work if the browser is using uBlock. Good idea but needs much more testing and tweaking.
